In very large bowl, break up 1 1/2 loaves of day old bread or 1 quart dry bread crumbs. Melt 1/2 cup butter in skillet. Add 6 springs parsley, 6 green onions, tops and all. Cook in butter for 5 minutes. Mix well with crumbs, grind giblets and mix with dressing. add salt and pepper, 1 tsp Poultry Seasons, 1 1/2 cups of chicken broth. Mix well. Then mix together 1 cup flour, 2 tsp salt, 1 cup milk and 4 cup broth. Cook until thick...Beat 4 eggs and add to mixture. Cook a little longer.

Place all mixed dressing in bottom of greased glass 9 x 13 pan. Bake 1/2 hr at 350 degrees.

Optional: Chicken or Turkey Dressing Casserole - -
Add cooked Chicken or Turkey cut in small pieces and layer as follows: dressing, 1/2 of sauce, meat, rest of sauce. Crush potato chips & sprinkle on top.

This Recipe is the best Turkey Dressing Recipe usually made for Thanksgiving. It is a family favorite and passed down from grandmother Hazel Turner, to LaWana, to her children and now to her grandchildren. The recipe is written exactly as handwritten by LaWana in her recipe box
