2 C butter/margarine, 1 1/2 C white sugar, 1 1/2 C brown sugar, 4 eggs beaten slightly, 1 tbsp vanilla, 5 C flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tbsp baking soda, 2 1/2 C chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl cream butter. Slowly add sugar. Add eggs and mix well.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt together. Add to creamed mixture a little at a time. Fold in chocolate chips.
Drop on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350ºF for 10-12 minutes.

Extra ingredients to add if wanted: raisins 1/2 cup, almonds 1/2 cup, cranberries 1/2 cup, whatever you desire.
