1 pkg elbow macaroni (7 oz)
3 T butter or margarine
3 T all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
dash pepper
1 C milk
1 C (abt 4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain & set aside.
In a sauce pan (over a medium low heat) melt butter. Add flour, salt & pepper &* stir to make a smooth paste. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Heat and stir until thickened.

Remove from heat, stir in the cheese until melted & pour over warm macaroni and mix well.
