4 lbs. sweet potatoes,boiled
1 TB. orange peel, opt.
2 lb. apples, peeled and sliced
3/4 c. orange juice
cranberries
1/3 c. maple syrup
raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg, opt.
1/2 c. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sweet potatoes, and alternate the potatoes and apples, cranberries (a handful), and raisins (again a handful) in layers, in a 9 x 13 pan. Melt together the brown sugar, butter, orange peel O.J. , syrup. cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour over top of the layers, and bake 30-40 minutes at 375. covered.

These are considered the grown up sweet potatoes in my family. Of course the kids (and I) still love the marshmallow topped sweet potatoes as well. I recommend making both varieties.
