1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 c finely chopped onion
1 egg
1/2 cup cracker crumbs
1/2 tsp yellow mustard
1 - 2 Tbsp picante sauce
- or -
a couple shakes of Tobasco©
1 tsp garlic salt
flour
Cavender's Greek seasoning
oil

Directions:

In a bowl crumble up the ground beef. Stir in the egg, cracker crumbs, mustard and picante sauce. Sprinkle with garlic salt and mix well. Shape into small patties. Dip each patty into flour. Fry in a skillet with enough oil to coat the bottom. Fry 4 - 5 at a time, and don't crowd them in the skillet. Cook until a deep golden brown - about 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Season with Cavender's Greek seasoning as you cook them. This will make 8 - 10 patties that are about 1/8 of a pound each.

mmm! This is still a favorite of mine. Mom always served mashed potatoes and gravy to go with hers.
