"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Home Made Hot Sauce, by Joy Blaha, is from The Kaylor Family Cookbook Project,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
28 oz. whole tomatoes 3 cloves garlic 2 jalapeņos 1/2 tsp. cumin 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 1 Tbs. lime juice 1/2 c. cilantro small onion
In a blender or food processor combine all ingredients except onion and cilantro, making sure jalapeņos are chopped well. Add onion and cilantro and blend until onion is just chopped. Put in refrigerator for 4 hours so ingredients have time to blend together.
