1 medium onion - chopped 2 lb ground beef 2 cups water 1 qt tomato juice 1 Tbsp salt 2 Tbsp fat 1 can kidney beans 1 cup chili sauce 1/4 tsp pepper 1 Tbsp chili powder
Brown onions and ground beef in fat. Drain off any remaining grease. Mix together the beans, chili sauce, water, and tomato juice, then add onions and ground beef mixture. Season with salt, pepper and chili powder. Simmer for 2 hours.
