2 c. heavy whipping cream
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. milk
6 oz. chopped semisweet chocolate
2 large eggs slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. day old french bread cut into cubes
1/4 c. semisweet chocolate chips
whipped cream (optional)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In saucepan, heat 1st 3 ingredient. over med. heat until sugar is dissolved,stirring occasionally.Remove from heat. Add chopped chocolate, stirring with whisk until smooth and chocolate is melted. Gradually whisk in eggs and vanilla, combine well. Place bread in shallow 11/2 qt. glass or ceramic baking dish. Pour chocolate over the bread crumbs. Cover and refrigerate 30 min. or more, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with chocolate chips on top of bread mixture. Bake uncovered, 40 to 45 min. or until set. Cool 10 min. to serve warm. Serve with whipped cream. I doubled this for a 9x13 dish and mixed the chocolate chips with milk chocolate. This is very rich and chocolaty.
