1 16 oz can tomato sauce
1 8 oz can tomato puree
1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
1lb Italian sausage
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 or 2 cloves garlic
1 T. parsley
onion salt, sweet basil, oregano salt & pepper to taste
1/2 cup red wine

Directions:
Directions:
If using ground sausage, brown in a skillet. If using link sausage, boil or broil to remove some of the grease, and then cut into bite size pieces. Saute onions and garlic in olive oil. Add remaining ingredients and simmer at least 3 to 4 hours. Add red wine 1/2 hour before serving.

Can be easily doubled or tripled.
