1/2 lb. candied cherries 1/2 lb. candied pineapple 1 small package dates, chopped 3 cups nuts 1 cup flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/8 tsp. salt 4 eggs 1 can coconut 1 cup sugar 1 tsp. vanilla
Mix dry ingredients and sift flour over fruit in a separate bowl. Beat 4 eggs and add 1 cup sugar, 2 tsp. vanilla. Mix together and bake in 275º oven for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Last 20 minutes put pan of water under cake.
