2 1/2 C sugar
1/2 C light Karo Syrup
1/2 C water
1/8 tsp salt
2 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla
1 C chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
In a 3 qt casserole, combine sugar, syrup, water and salt. Microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes. Stir well. Microwave another 8 to 12 minutes or until mixture reaches hard-ball stage (260 degrees)

Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Slowly pour hot syrup over egg whites, beating at high speed with electric mixer. Add vanilla.
Continue beating 4-5 minutes or until mixture holds its shape and starts to lose its gloss. Fold in nuts. Quickly drop heaping teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
