Ingredients: 4 Hoagie buns, unsplit(6 inches) 1 1/2 lbs. top sirloin steak Salt and pepper 1 c. red bell pepper, sliced 1 c. onion, sliced 1 bunch broccolini, trimmed (7oz) Olive Oil
Spicy Cheese Sauce: 1 c. heavy cream 1 1/2 c. mozzarella, shredded Cayenne pepper to taste Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:Preheat broiler to High. Prepare buns by cutting a V-shaped wedge out of the top of each roll;. Arrange on a baking sheet and broil 3 minutes, or until lightly toasted. Slice steak into 1/4 inch-thick strips; season with salt and pepper. Saute bell pepper, onion, and broccolini in 2 tbsp. olive oil in a large saute pan over medium heat. Cover and sweat 3-5 minutes, or until broccolini is tender. remove vegetables from pan. Sear steak in 1 tbsp. oil in the same pan over high heat 1-2 minute to brown. Reduce heat to medium-high and saute to desired doneness. Divide steak among buns. Top sandwiches with vegetables and cheese sauce.
Spicy Cheese Sauce: Heat cream in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add cheese and let stand several minutes without stirring to melt the cheese. Stir in seasonings until blended; keep warm over low heat until ready to serve. Makes 4 sandwiches |
