Personal Notes:
Aunt Thelma would make this every year at Christmas. When we would come to visit, she would have little boxes of fudge as treats for us.

One time I tried to make a batch to take to my office in San Francisco. I thought I followed the directions to a Tee....but it turn into crystals (see warning above). So, I ran to the Safeway, bought another round of ingredients and called Aunt Thelma and Uncle Lue in Phoenix. They walked me through the entire recipe, we had a wonderful visit, and the fudge turned out WONDERFUL (on both accounts).
