1/2 cup butter
1-1/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup sour cream
2 cups flour
1-1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/3 tsp salt
1 cup mashed ripe banana (2 large bananas)
2 tbsp light rum or milk
1 tsp almond extract
1-1/2 cups chopped nuts
Powdered sugar

Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs, then sour cream. Sift together flour, baking poder, soda, and salt. Blend into creamed mixture alternating with mashed bananas. Add rum and almond extract. Stir in nuts.

Turn into greased 9x5x3" loaf pan. Bake in preheated, 350 degree oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean.

Remove bread from pan and cool on rack. If you wish, just before serving lightly sift powderd sugar over top.
