2 packages of fresh broccoli florets, or about 4 heads.
12-oz. package Bow Tie Pasta
3 tbsp. unsalted butter
3 tbsp. good olive oil
3 tsp. minced garlic
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. lemon zest
1 tsp. coarse black pepper
1/4 c. toasted pine nuts-optional
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:

Place broccoli florets in a microwave proof dish. Add 4 tbsp. water, microwave for 10 minutes, drain any liquid.

Cook bow tie pasta until just tender, drain.

Meantime, in a small saute' pan, heat the butter, olive oil, lemon zest, and garlic over medium heat for 1-2 minutes. Take off the heat, add salt, pepper and lemon juice. Pour over pasta and broccoli, toss well. Season to taste. Sprinkle with nuts and cheese.

To toast nuts: place in a dry saute' pan over medium heat and brown, Tossing often, about 5 minutes.
