1 1/2 cup flour, 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder, * 1/4 tsp. salt, * 3 Tblsp butter and shortening, * 2/3 cup sugar, * 1 egg unbeaten, *5 Tblsp milk, 1 tsp. vanilla. Crumble together brown sugar, nuts and cinnamon and 1 1/2 Tblsp butter.

Cream the * items, then add flour and baking powder. Stir in vanilla. Pour (scrape) into pan and sprinkle brown sugar, nuts, cinnamon and butter. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.
