2/3 c. brown sugar
2 sticks butter - or - margarine
1 3/4 cup pecan pieces
24 graham crackers
1 tsp vanilla
1 c chocolate chips ( optional *)

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350. Line a cookie sheet with foil. Break graham crackers, along perforations, into squares. Place crackers onto the foil lined cookie sheet. Melt butter and sugar in a saucepan. Stir until it just starts to boil. Let boil for 2 minutes. Stir in the pecan pieces and vanilla. Pour sugar mixture over the graham crackers. Place into oven and bake 10 - 15 minutes.
* if you want chocolate, sprinkle with chocolate chips and put back into oven for 5 minutes. Take out and spread out the softened chocolate.
Cool then break into bite size pieces.
