1 cup butter
2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
41/2 cup flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground mace

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, mild and vanilla and mix. Add dry ingredients and mix until thick enough to roll. You may have to add more flour. Roll 1/4" thick and cut out with cookie cutters.
Bake at 375 deg. for 7-8 minutes. or until golden brown.
Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Ice cookies with a butter frosting and decorate.

I found this recipe 20 years ago and have been making it as part of my Christmas baking ever since. These cookies are fun to make because my kids would love to decorate them.
