1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. soft shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Mix thoroughly sugars, shortening, eggs, vanilla. Sift together flour, soda,salt and stir in. Add nuts. Shape 1 level tablespoon dough into balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten with bottom of greased glass dipped in sugar. Bake 8 to10 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen.
