1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
1 3/4 flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
pinch salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat pizelle iron. Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. Cream sugar and butter, add eggs. Combine with flour mixture. Add melted butter. Make sure pizelle iron is seasoned with shortening. Pour batter into hot iron - go slowly until you can produce a cookie that stays within the design area of the pizelle iron. Delicious with or without powdered sugar!

Lynn and I made these for Drew's prom date and friends. We wrapped them around an ice cream cone until they cooled, then just before serving, we added whipped cream and strawberries.
