5 cups flour
4 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
2 cups shortening

Together:
1 egg (slightly beaten
1 tsp vinegar plus enough water to make 3/4 cup liquid

Directions:
Directions:
Cut shortening into dry ingredient put 1 egg into 1 cup measuring cup beat slightly and add 1 tsp vinegar and enough water to make 3/4 cup liquid. Mix into dry ingredient as for other pastry
Do not add more liquid, work with hands if necessary to work in all the dry ingredients
CHILL

If desired - divide into 3 or 4 parts - wrap 7 freeze for future use.
