1 to 1 1/4 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup diced green chilies or green pepper
2 tbsp chili powder
1/2 tsp garlic salt
8 oz can ( 1 cup) tomato sauce
1 can (10) biscuits buttermilk or country style
6 oz shredded Monterey jack or cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 egg slightly beaten

Heat oven to 375
brown ground beef, onions, chilies and drain
stir in chili powder, garlic sauce and tomato sauce
simmer while preparing dough.seperate dough into 10 biscuits, separate each biscuit into 2 layers, press 10 biscuit layer over bottom of ungreased 8 or 9 inch square pan. combine 1/2 cup of cheese, sour cream and egg, remove meat mixture from heat, stir in sour cream mixture, spoon over dough, arrange remaining biscuit layers on top, sprinkle with 2 cups of cheese
Bake @ 375 for 25-30 minutes or until biscuits are deep golden brown
