2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

1 c. soft butter
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar- packed
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. water

2 eggs

1 c. crunchy peanut butter - optional
2 c. (12 oz. pkg.) of chocolate bits
1 c. nuts-- coarsely chopped

Sift together first 3 ingredients; then set aside.

Blend together the butter, sugars, vanilla, and water. Beat in the eggs.

Add flour mixture ( that was set aside); mix well.
Stir in chocolate bits and nuts.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 F. for10-12 min.
