1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. shortening

1/2 c. milk
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tarter
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Filling:
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. flour
black walnuts

Boil the filling ingredients until it thickens. Then let COOL.

Directions:

Cream together first 3 ingredients; add the milk, baking soda, flour, cream of tarter, and vanilla.

Roll cookie dough flat and cut with round cutter.
Spread filling (cooled) over dough and cover with another piece of cut dough.

Pinch edges with a floured fork.
Bake at 375º F. for 10-12 min.
