1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. wine
1/2 c. sour milk
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box dates
2 c. nuts
1 box raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter. Add well-beaten eggs then fruit, nuts, spices and flavoring. Mix milk and wine. Add wine mixture alternately with mixture of flour and baking soda.

Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 350º for 1 hour.

This recipe was Grandmother Cox's (Jackie Cox) at Christmas. It has been in the Cox family for at least 60 years.
