1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 c. fresh bread cubes
1 onion, finely chopped
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2-8 oz. cans tomato sauce
1/2 c. water
3 Tbs. vinegar
3 Tbs. brown sugar
2 Tbs. prepared mustard
2 tsp. Worcestershire

Directions:
Directions:
Mix beef, crumbs, onion, beaten egg, salt, pepper and 1/2 c. tomato sauce. Form into loaf. Combine remainder of sauce with all other ingredients. Pour over loaf.

Bake in moderate oven (350) for one hour., Baste often with tomato sauce/water combination.

I make 8 of these loaves at one time and freeze before cooking. Seems the flavor is better after freezing because the flavor goes through better. My family loves these!
