2 1/2 cups water
1/ tsp salt
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 medium head of cauliflower, quartered
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp four
3 cups half and half
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp dried whole thyme
1/2 tsp white pepper
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Directions:
Directions:
combine water, salt and lemon juice in large pan. add cauliflower, bring to a boil, cover and cook 10 to 15 minutes or until tender, drain cauliflower, reserve liquid. break into flowerets set aside, melt butter, add flour, stirring until smooth, cook 1 minute, stirring constantly, gradually add reserved cauliflower juice, cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly
stir in half and half, bay leaf, thyme and pepper
cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, 5-10 minutes or just until heated, remove and discard bay leaf, sprinkle each serving with chopped fresh parsley
