Mix cocoa in pan with water, shortening and butter. Heat until butter melts, stirring.
Cream sugar, eggs and vanilla together. Mix flour, baking soda and cinnamon into creamed mixture. Slowly mix in cocoa mixture while hot.
Bake in a long glass dish at 350º for 40-45 minutes.
1 stick butter
3 Tbs. cocoa
6 Tbs. evaporated milk
1 box powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Heat butter, cocoa and milk until nearly boiling. Stir in powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts. Spread on top of cake.
