2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs, beaten
2/3 c. sour milk
1 1/2 c. oats
1 c. raisins or dates, chopped
1 c. nuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all dry ingredients together. Cream sugar and shortening together. Add beaten eggs. Add milk gradually. Slowly add dry ingredients, mixing until smooth. Stir in oats, raisins and nuts.

Drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350º until brown, approximately 12 minutes.
