1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 cup boiling water
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla
few grains nutmeg
few grains salt

Mix the cornstarch and sugar thoroughly in a small pan, add the cup of boiling water , stirring constantly, let boil stirring for 5 minutes, then remove from the heat and stir in the remaining ingredients
