1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 pinch salt
2 cups milk
2 egg yolks, beaten
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, sugar and salt in saucepan. Gradually add milk and stir constantly until smooth. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture is thick. Remove from heat, add beaten egg yolks with part of hot mixture, blend and return to saucepan. Cook stirring constantly over medium heat until mixture bubbles. Remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell.

For Banana Cream Pie:
Add sliced bananas to base of pie shell and cover with mixture.
