1 1/2 cup flour
1 3/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp grated lemon rind
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup softened butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk

Glaze
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Blend together dry ingredients. In mixing bowl mix together butter, eggs, sugar, gradually add flour alternatively with milk, add grated lemon rind.

Bake 350 in greased 8" X 4" loaf pan for 50 - 60 minutes or until cooked. Remove from oven and leave in pan.

To make glaze, heat sugar and lemon juice in small saucepan. Pierce top of loaf with for or toothpickl Brush glaze over top of hot loaf.
Cool on rack for 15 minutes then remove from pan.
