Wash and scrape herring well
Fill pint bottles to 2/3 full
Add 3/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp pure vinegar
3 tbsp ketchup

Directions:
Directions:
Fill to top with herring and seal tightly. Boil for 3 hours under wter. Let cool in water.
