2 1/2 - 3 Pound Cut Up Frying Chicken
Oil for Deep Frying


SEASONED FLOUR:
1 1/2 Cup Flour
1 Tbsp. Garlic Salt
1 Tsp. Pepper
1 1/2 Tsp. Paprika
1/4 Tsp. Poultry Seasoning


CRISPY BATTER:
2/3 Cup Flour
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1/8 Tsp. Pepper
1 Beaten Egg Yolk
3/4 Cup Water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine seasoned flour Ingredients (flour, garlic salt, pepper, paprika and poultry seasoning) in a bowl; set aside.

Combine water and egg yolk. Gradually add to remaining Crispy Batter ingredients (flour, salt, pepper, egg yolk, water).

Heat oil to 365 degrees in deep pan or fryer to a depth of about 2 inches.

Moisten chicken pieces. Dip in seasoned flour, then into batter, then back into flour.

Fry in hot oil for 15-18 minutes or until well browned. Drain on paper towels

I prefer to use boneless chicken pieces. This recipe is also good for chicken fried steak.
