1/2 c. shortening,
1 2/3 c. granulated sugar,
2 tsp. vanilla,
2 eggs,
7 Tbl. coca,
2 c. flour,
2 tsp. baking soda,
1/2 tsp. salt,
1/3 c. milk,
1/2 c. nuts.
sifted powdered sugar.

Cream shortening, sugar & vanilla. Beat in eggs then cocoa. Sift together dry ingredients, blend alternately with milk. Add nuts. Chill 3 hours. Form in balls & roll in powdered sugar. (We like them better if they are not chilled. It makes them messier because they aren't as stiff).
Bake 375 for 8 minutes.
