Ingredients:  
1 c. sugar
2 c. butter or margarine
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 tsp. almond or 1 T vanilla
4 c. sifted flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, add sugar, cream. Add beaten egg and work flour in. Use cookie machine or roll in balls and press with fork. Bake 350 10 to 12 minutes.

Gram's notes: I use more flour.
Carol's notes: water stain on the almond ingredient! 1/2 can be seen, but your guess as to tsp. or T! She has "tbs" on the vanilla.
