1 c. margarine
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and margarine, add eggs and blend well. Sift together flour, salt, soda and cream of tartar. Add flour mixture gradually to the creamed mixture. Add vanilla and chill dough thoroughly. Roll on a floured pastry cloth to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 6 to 8 minutes at 425º. Makes 5 to 6 dozen cookies.
