1 1/2 cup of flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp cloves
1/2 cup oleo
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1 1/2 egg
1/4 cup buttermilk
3 cups pecan halves
1/2 lb whole candied cherries
1 cup chopped candied pineapple
1 cup coursly chopped dates

sift flour, soda, salt and spices together
cream butter, gradually add sugar and continue creaming, add eggs beating well
add sifted dry ingredients alternating with milk
beginning and ending with flour, add nuts and fruit and mix thoroughly
drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet and
Bake@325 for 20-25 minutes
