1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
16 oz chocolate syrup
1 tsp vanilla

Top layers:
1/4 cup butter
2 cup sifted powdered sugar
2 Tbsp creme de menthe
1/4 cup butter
6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, beat until fluffy.
Add eggs, beat after each addition.
Combine flour and salt. Add to egg mixture alternately with chocolate syrup. Begin and end with flour mixture.
Stir in vanilla.
Pour into 9X13 greased and floured pan.
Bake at 350 for 25-28 minutes. Cool completely.

Cream 1/4 cup butter. Add powdered sugar and creme de menthe. Mix well and spread over brownies. Chill 1 hour.
Combine chocolate chips and remaining butter in double boiler. melt and stir. Spread over shilled brownies. Chill 1 additional hour. Cut into squares.
