3 T. olive oil
1 c. onions, finely chopped
1 T. minced garlic
4 c. canned tomatoes, chopped
1 small can tomato paste
1 T. dried oregano
1 T. fresh basil or 1 tsp. dried
1 bay leaf
2 tsp. honey
black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the oil and saute the onions until soft,but not brown. Add garlic and cook 2 minutes more. Add the remaining ingredients and bring the sauce to a boil: then lower the heat and simmer uncovered for about 1 hour, stirrring occasionally. Remove the bay leaf.

Great pizza sauce, but I like it on any kind of pasta as well.
