1 1/2 c. sweet milk, scalded
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 egg whites
1 tsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix 1/2 c. sugar and cornstarch with a little more milk and add to scalded milk. Cook slowly 10 to 12 minutes.

Beat stiff egg whites, but not dry, and fold into above mixture.
Add butter and 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Cool.
Then put in cool baked pie shell.
Whip 1 c. whipping cream, 1 tsp. vanilla and sugar. Chill.
