1/2 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. milk 1 3/4 to 2 c. confectioners sugar
Melt butter and add brown sugar. Boil on low eat for 2 minutes stirring constantly. Stir in milk. Stir until comes to a boil. Cool to lukewarm. Gradually add 1 3/4 to 2 cups sifted confectioners sugar. Beat until spreading consistently. If icing becomes too stiff, add hot water.
