1 chicken cut-up
2 c. water
2 c. chicken broth
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
3/4 - 1 c. milk

Dumplings:
3 c. flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 c. baking powder
2 TBSP Crisco
2/3 c. warm water

Directions:
Directions:
Simmer first 5 ingredients for 40 minutes or until tender. Remove chicken, skin and bone. Set aside.
Mix flour, salt,baking powder and Crisco in food processor until crumbly. Slowly add water until dough forms a ball.
Roll out dough until very thin and cut into squares. Add to broth one at a time, then place chicken on top of dumplings. Pour milk over top of chicken. Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
