1 C butter
1 ½ C confectioners sugar
1 egg
1 ½ tsp. vanilla

2 ½ C flour
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt

Colored sugar to top cookies

Directions:
Directions:
Combine confectioners sugar, egg, and vanilla. Then add flour, baking powder, and salt.
Mix together until dough forms. Divide dough into thirds, wrap airtight in plastic and refrigerate at least 2 hours (or up to a week). Take dough out of refrigerator for about an hour to soften up to roll. Roll 3/16” thick using floured rolling pin and board. Use cookie cutter to cut into shapes. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with colored sugar. Bake at 375º about 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Transfer to rack to cool. Store in airtight tins.
