2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/4 cups light brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup salted butter
1/2 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups mashed bananas (about 3 large)
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted
Ganache:
1/2 cup heavy cream
2/3 cup semisweet chocolate , finely chopped

Preheat oven 350º
Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan
Combine flour and soda; whisk well and set aside
Blend sugar and butter in a large bowl using an electric mixer
Add sour cream, banana, egg and vanilla and beat at medium speed until smooth
Add the flour mixture and blend at low speed until combined Gently fold in melted chocolate, stirring until marbled
Pour batter into the prepared pan
Bake 40 -45 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean
Cool in pan 15 minutes, invert onto rack and cool
Ganache:
Scald cream in a small saucepan
Remove from heat and add chocolate; cover pan with lid and set aside
After 15 minutes, stir frosting until smooth
Transfer to bowl and refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes
Turn cake right side up onto a serving plate and frost liberally with the ganache
