2 cups flour
1 1 /2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons vanilla
1 cup pecans, finely chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 375º
Mix first 3 ingredients and whisk to combine; set aside
In another bowl, combine shortening, butter, vanilla and milk and beat well
Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and mix
Stir in nuts; chill until firm
Shape into logs about 2 inches long and place on ungreased cookie sheet
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown
Remove from oven and roll in 1 cup powdered sugar while still warm
