2 teaspoons coarsely chopped rosemary
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 (3/4-inch) bone-in-rib pork chops
Accompaniment: lemon wedges

Preheat broiler
1. Mince and mash garlic to a paste with a pinch of kosher salt.
2. Stir together with rosemary, oil and 3/4 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
3. Rub mixture all over chops.
4. Broil on a broiler pan about 4 inches from heat, turning once until just cooked through, about 8 minutes.
5. Let stand 5 minutes
