1 qt vinegar
1 qt water
1 cup salt
2 tbsp red pepper
crushed dill
onions
1 tsp alum ( to a quart)

Directions:
Directions:
Place pickles in a jars. Bring vinegar, water, and salt to a boil . Place red pepper, dill and onions on top and bottom of jars ( and add the alum, but not sure where? )
Pour over pickles and seal. Hot water bath for 5 minutes.
