1 box Duncan Hines Deluxe Swiss Chocolate Cake Mix
½ C butter, melted
2/3 C evaporated milk
14 oz. light caramels
1 package (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips
1 C chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Place cake mix in large bowl, add melted butter and 1/3 C evaporated milk. Mix well. (Save other ½ can evaporated milk for caramels) Put half cake mixture in 9x13 pan, press into bottom. Bake at 350 for 6 minutes. Let stand and cool a little.

Put caramels in heavy saucepan (or in large bowl in microwave), add other half can of evaporated milk. Melt. Pour caramel over baked bottom of cake. Spread evenly with spatula. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over caramel. Lay remainder of chocolate cake mixture on top of that. Bake at 350 for 18 minutes.
