1 cake of yeast
flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c shortening
2 eggs
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. water
1/8 tsp cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
mix 2 c. water, the cake of yeast, and enough flour to make sponge - set for 1 1/2 hours.

mix sponge with sugar, shortening, eggs, nutmeg and enough flour to make a soft dough.

to make the glaze, mix powdered sugar, cream of tartar and water. bring to boil and keep hot.
